Since the advent of EN54 part 25 when wireless fire alarms gained their own specific standard; product development has been brisk with 3 main single source manufacturers dominating the market (although in addition many component manufactures such as Apollo and Hochiki also offer hybrid wireless technology to compliment their hard wired equipment).
The benefits of wireless technology are obvious and with issues over reliability and battery life now a thing of the past it’s not only buildings where it’s just not possible to run cables benefitting from the technology as you will see from the project profiles below.
