Arora Sofitel at Heathrow’s T5
Leader will happily provide life safety systems into any size building but the system installed into the Arora Sofitel at Heathrow’s T5 must rank as one of our largest.
15 panels networked together using over 5000 devices and interfacing with everything from 350 separately controlled smoke dampers, 100 access controlled doors and an Aquamist sprinkler system proves this is a big fire alarm system!
The Arora Sofitel is a 5* hotel located adjacent to the new T5 terminal at Heathrow. The building includes 600 bedrooms, conference and leisure facilities, restaurants and bars, and is linked to the terminal via the multi-storey car park. Externally, the building is formed from six linear east-west bedroom blocks clad in beige granite panels separated by atria with full-height glazing. At ground floor level, a ‘main street’ runs north to south and provides clarity of direction between the bars, shops and restaurants located at this level.
