HARIA HOUSE BRADFORD PROJECT
Leader Systems Maintenance and Specialist Projects have successfully completed the retrofit installation of a new £100k fire detection and alarm system in Haria House student’s accommodation in Bradford.
The project is noteworthy due to the very narrow timescales available to complete the works. The installation which couldn’t begin until all students had vacated the building in July then had to be completed by the end of August ready for staff training and students returning in September. To achieve this Leaders install team literally lived on site maximising the available installation time.
The existing system installed was Hochiki based and used as the backbone for the new installation which incorporated the latest ESP protocol and some advanced cause and effect software to screen out the impact of false alarms.
The system now incorporates a two panel network covering 6 loops and approximately 500 devices.
